To all our friends in the Reenacting Community:

WE ARE BACK! You are cordially invited to attend the 2024 Angelica Civil War Weekend. This is our nineteenth (non-consecutive due to COVID & NYS) year hosting a Civil War living history event in Angelica, NY, and we are always adding additional activities. All impressions of military and civilian reenactors and your scenarios are welcome.

The Angelica Civil War Weekend began in 2004 as a program for the Allegheny Highlands Council Boy Scout Fall Camporee, and fifteen years ago became a full-fledged reenactment event. Any of the attendees from past years can tell you we host a fun event, and that the Angelica Community is substantially period correct and VERY friendly to reenactors!

After a few years we left the fairgrounds and held the event entirely at locations throughout the circa 1806 Village of Angelica, with camps along Main Street in the historic district. Feedback from all of you AND from the Village residents indicated this was a success. We unfortunately had to cancel 2020’s event due to restrictions on public gatherings, and 2022 due to new state laws. As we have done in the past, the battles will again encompass both street battles and an open field battle. The Boy Scout Council will again not be participating this year. We have decided not to host a School Day this year, but hope to in the future when we get back on track. Many of the local community organizations are anxious to welcome the re-enactors back, and in recreating the 1860’s. Reenactors are always encouraged to stage scenarios throughout the period village. As always, we will try to have something new for you to try!
