To all our friends in the Reenacting Community:

2026 will likely be the last Angelica Event. You are cordially invited to attend the 2026 Angelica Civil War Weekend. This is our twenty-first (non-consecutive due to COVID & NYS) year hosting a Civil War living history event in Angelica and will likely be the end of the series. All impressions of military and civilian reenactors and your scenarios are welcome.

The Angelica Civil War Weekend began in 2004 as a program for the Allegheny Highlands Council Boy Scout Fall Camporee, and sixteen years ago became a full-fledged reenactment event. Any of the attendees from past years can tell you we host a fun event, and that the Angelica Community is substantially period correct and VERY friendly to reenactors!

After a few years we left the fairgrounds and held the event entirely at locations throughout the circa 1806 Village of Angelica, with camps along Main Street in the historic district. Feedback from all of you AND from the Village residents indicated this was a success. We unfortunately had to cancel 2020’s event due to restrictions on public gatherings, and 2022 due to new state laws. As we have done in the past, the battles will again encompass both street battles and an open field battle. The Boy Scout Council will again not be participating this year, and there will be no school education day. Reenactors are always encouraged to stage scenarios throughout the period village.
